Rizzley Rugby by Riley

Winter is wet, Wiley and a wicked morning for winning at rugby. Team Rawhiti squelch their sprigs as they enter the field. Our great team play as one. When we call we feel invincible as Noah attacks the ball. On the wing I watch and wait. My opportunity is never too late.

Math today

Today in math we learnt about symmetrical and drew some shapes that were symmetrical the most easiest thing was just drawing the cube shape and the hardest  thing was drawing the other shapes.

it was fun.

Nano girl!

On Thursday we had an assembly and we had spider girl and quaintom dynamo came in and showed us science tricks. First they showed us fire tricks Spider Girl put her hand in some liquid  and lit it on fire first it was a small flame but then they made it bigger. After that they showed us some homemade cannon that you put vapor inside and pulled back the back then it shoots out vapor they use this to try and shoot a cup off a girls head. then she showed us some telekinesis which was just a leaf blower and a hair dryer pushing the ping pong ball. I showed integrity by not talking and being respectful while they were showing their show and talking.

Touch!

Over the past few weeks we have been learning about writing articles mine is about touch we learnt  how to research for an article and how to structure a sentence and learn what topic sentences are.

My article

Touch!

Do you like playing touch rugby? I like playing touch rugby. I’ve been playing it for 1 to 2 years already. I love the feeling after getting a Try and after setting up the point for a try. I also love that the sport touch is keeping me fit while also having a fun time while playing.

History: Touch was made by two people Ray Vawdon and Bob Dyke. Touch was made as a social or park game and as a training technique for rugby league. The first touch players are Dyke & Vawdon because they needed to test out they’re new sport. Touch was invented in 1965 and 1967 in the United kingdom.

Training: While training for touch when learning how to pass a ball fast and straight, learning this will help you. You can pass faster if you move the ball quickly across your body by swinging your arms fast. People wanted to know how to pass the ball with their weak side and they found out that if you Keep your elbows up and out: This helps generate power and accuracy in your pass.

Equipment: People wanted to know what the best rugby ball was and they found it was Victor Tr rugby ball from rebel sport. When looking for rugby boots the best ones are the PUMA and ASICS boots but are expensive.

So in conclusion: touch rugby is a popular sport that provides both fun and fitness. It was created by Ray Vawdon and Bob Dyke for training for another sport. Training in touch rugby involves mastering fast and straight passing techniques. The Victor Tr rugby ball

and PUMA and ASICS boots are recommended equipment choices.

Action stations

This term for action stations I have been learning chess. I have practiced online and played against other students.

I have enjoyed it. I learnt to step up the board and move the different pieces. I learnt a new move. And I won against hunter, Rocky and another girl that I forgot the name. and learnt where all the pieces could move.

Sports in School!

My story is a persuasive writing piece. Persuasive writing is used to persuade someone into doing something so that you can start doing that thing or keep doing it.

A rhetorical question is a question that is not supposed to be answered Eg: Do you want to be unfit?

A Simile is a thing we use to compare two things like and as Eg: He was red like a tomato.

Super Sports!

Everybody knows that physical education in schools should be kept how it is because most kids do sports to get fit or to have fun. Sports also help with communication. It’s good for the human body, making you nice and healthy.  What’s your favourite sport?

Everybody knows that sports in school should stay the same because most kids do sports to get fit or to have fun. Kids who don’t play sports usually get chubby and fat and they sit inside most of the day. Taking this away will make kids unfit or bored because they never get a break from learning all day. Do you like learning?

Playing sports teaches kids to use communication. It teaches kids to learn how to be in a team and learn all different skills while also playing a game. It teaches them to use skills while concentrating on a sports game.

Sports and exercise are really helpful for the human body. It strengthens and exercises your muscles to make them strong like concrete and it gives you a reason to go outside. Also, being outside in the sun makes you happier and gives you more energy because the sun gives you vitamin D.

So in conclusion sports are good for the body, they teach you communication and skills and they get you healthy and fit.
So when are you joining a sports team?

Math sheet

Today in math I did a math sheet there were 100 questions and I got 70% out of 100% in 10 minutes. My goal next time is to get over 80% and in less than 5 minutes. On the math sheet was just division questions the hardest questions  for me was 63 dived by 7  because I’m not that good with division. But i picked the easiest questions first  then the hard one after.

S for success by completing the 8 km walk there and back while carrying all my equipment. And E for empathy by being positive and encouraging others when we are walking to Spencer park.

My end of year reflection

This year i moved to be a year 7 and to be a senior. Some of the highlights of my year is going to koru games, camp, ski trip and playing touch/rugby. I’ve had way more fun in Tangaroa than Tane Mahuta. At the start of the year i was worried about coming into Tangaroa because i thought there was harder work and harder to make friends but by half way through the year i realized it was pretty easy to make friends and the work wasn’t that harder. The work was a bit hard but we got to play dodge ball at the end of the week as motivation. I’ve learned how to do lots of stuff in Tangaroa like how to play touch/rugby,dodge ball, volleyball and how to ski properly. My goals for next year is to get fit, muscles/strong, lose some weight by working out and eating healthy another one of goals is to get wavy/curly hair i can complete this getting product for my hair and getting a different haircut. For high school i am thinking about going to ST Bedes because its close to my house and I’ve heard that its a pretty good school. When i leave school i wanna go to the army and stay in the army till retirement.
